i apologize for the extremely short notice!! some browncoat friends are coming in from out of town, and, having heard of our yearly Apple Holler mini-shindig, wanted to go.

they will be in town this weekend so the only possible day to meet at Apple Holler is this Saturday, Oct 9th.

if you can make it, please respond here or to me directly at laura @ chicagolandbrowncoats . com so we can know how many people to get seats for. apple holler does not take reservations so we have to be there to get seated.

With your help, we raised a 2009 total of:

$4,153.88

$3,115.41 = 75% for Equality Now
$1,038.47 = 25% for The House of the Good Shepherd

I have already given Amy the check for The House and will be writing out and mailing the check to Equality Now tonight.

Once again, thank you so much to everyone who attended this year’s event and and to those who brought items in for our collection drive for The House.

Another big thank you to our volunteers!  We arrived at the theater to set up at 1pm and you guys worked tirelessly at making sure everything was set up and ready for our attendees and really kept the event running smoothly!

Time for the Chicagoland Browncoats 7th Annual Apple Holler Mini-Shindig

Saturday, Oct. 10th

~ Brunch at 10 AM (brunch ends at 12 noon). Apple Holler does not take
reservations, but please respond at the forum to let me know if you will be attending (and around what time you plan on arriving) so we know how many people we should save table space for.

~ Apple picking at about 12:30 or 1 pm for them as would like to

~ Visit to the Mars Cheese Castle (http://www.marscheese.com/)
afterwards for the finest in beverages that make you blind and a
chance to look at the pretties and stock up on some kind of hot (or
cold) cheese
