Improvised Joss Whedon

Improvised Joss Whedon will be playing at Gorilla Tango Theater Sunday Feb 7, 14, 21 at 3pm and Sunday Feb 28 at 5pm.

From The AV Club: The Improvised Joss Whedon show is a big “what if” scenario in which characters from various Whedon programs (like Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Dollhouse) meet each other.

Tickets are $10.

From the Director: The cast and I have been working really hard to make a fan worthy show and I think we have made something aesthetically, thematically and creatively fun to watch!

For tickets:

Location: 1919 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL 60647

We’re celebrating the end of another year of fantastic events, so the Global 2009 Can’t Stop the Serenity Team, in conjunction with the California Browncoats, are proud to give you the chance to win some fantastic prizes in our online “Last Hurrah” auction. Money raised from the auction will be included in the CSTS 2009 Global Donation Total, which currently stands at US $128,000. Your bids will help us to reach this year’s goal of US $150,000 raised for charity!

95% of the proceeds of this auction will go straight to Equality Now. The remaining 5% will go toward covering any eBay and/or Paypal fees. The California Browncoats will pay any remaining fees in addition to donating their services in carrying out these auctions. Chicago’s Can’t Stop the Serenity did fantastic this year!

With your help, we raised a 2009 total of:

$3,115.41 = 75% for Equality Now
$1,038.47 = 25% for The House of the Good Shepherd

I have already given Amy the check for The House and will be writing out and mailing the check to Equality Now tonight.

Once again, thank you so much to everyone who attended this year’s event and and to those who brought items in for our collection drive for The House.

Another big thank you to our volunteers!  We arrived at the theater to set up at 1pm and you guys worked tirelessly at making sure everything was set up and ready for our attendees and really kept the event running smoothly!
